Summer School Week 3 & 4: Whirlwind of Activity

These past two weeks we continued variations of the kindness lesson.  I kept the books and students were able to read through books they haven't read yet, and they've started bringing their own books.

For writing we resumed to Content Clues, wrote acrostic poems about summer, and letters to the authors of our favorite books.

Math: Jump on the Math Facts. We broke up into groups by math level.  Before we played the game we reviewed math problems (ex/ 6x6=36) and then the fun began.  The kids loved this game so much that we played it again. Our modification was using chalk on the playground.  This is a game I will definitely keep for future times.
