Hello and thank you for visiting my blog! You may be wondering who I am - my name is Elena Knepprath, and I have been working with youth, schools, families, and communities in the Portland area since 2006. My goal is to participate in the building of healthy, smart, connected and thriving 21st century families.
My perspective on solving the education/poverty/various social ills is simple:
Partnerships!! We must all partner - schools, churches, community groups, families, business people, everyone and collaborate by pulling our resources together and emphasize culturally competent and best practice approaches. I believe lasting results take time to grow, but if we work together we will see fruit come harvest time.
